Millions of Americans every day, including teens and adults, get excited about energy drinks every day. It has become a fad all over the world and it is trendy and cool to drink energy drinks no matter what time of day. Children and adults not only drink energy drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but also drink energy drinks at parties.

With children, the higher the concentration of caffeine and other stimulants, the more popular these drinks become. Unfortunately, many children do not realize that it can cause panic attacks. In fact, many adults don’t know it either. They have no idea why they sometimes feel this way after drinking energy drinks.

They may start to feel extremely “amplified” with hot flashes running through their bodies caused by the adrenal gland secreting adrenaline throughout the body. They may begin to feel a tightness in the chest and a choking sensation from not being able to breathe properly.

Their heart will start to race abnormally and they may even skip a beat or two, which will cause more fear to run through their body and they will not understand what is happening to themselves. Energy drink-induced panic attacks can also cause not only physical symptoms, but also psychological symptoms. Feelings of unreality or an intense feeling of impending doom or death are quite common with panic attacks.

In fact, emergency rooms around the world are flooded every day by people having panic attacks induced by stimulants found in beverages such as energy drinks, as well as by certain medications such as methamphetamines. For some people who drink energy drinks it never affects them, for other people they can be very susceptible and even trigger panic attacks after drinking something that has a high concentration of stimulants in them.

Energy drinks contain very high amounts of not only caffeine, but also other natural stimulants, which are known to cause or trigger panic attacks in children, adolescents, and adults. Energy drinks don’t discriminate.
