The Tampa Buccaneers are one of many NFL teams trying to start from scratch and rebuild their franchise. After winning the Super Bowl in 2002, the Buccaneers haven’t been very successful. The Bucs’ best season since winning the Super Bowl came in the 05th minute when they went 11-5 but lost to the Washington Redskins in the first round. Tampa Bays’ offense at 09′ is lousy, scoring just 13 points per game.

The old saying is that if you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks, which is the case with the Bucs. Byron Leftwich and Josh Johnson are average QBs at best, not much more. As the starting quarterback, Leftwich is completing less than 56% on his passes with a quarterback rating in the low 70s. the Bucs’ receivers won’t put up big numbers on Leftwich’s defense.

RB Cadillac Williams was a rising star in the NFL a few seasons ago. At 05′, Williams rushed for over 1,100 yards in 14 games, but injuries have halted his progression as a RB. 07′ – 08′ Williams only played in 10 games, scored 7 touchdowns and rushed for 441 yards.

The Bucs’ primary WR is Kellen Winslow, who in his prime year at 07′ hauled in over 1,000 yards with 5 touchdowns for the Cleveland Browns.

The Bucs play in the NFC South, which has a different winner each year. The Bucs won’t be challenging for a division title in 2009, but hopefully they can find some sort of offense as the years progress. The Bucs defense is one of the worst in the league, if not THE worst, the Bucs have given up 30+ points more times than many teams all season. It’s going to be a long season for the Bucs in 2009.’
