Air curves with twist from the center of the court. The lines define why a crowd surrounds a game. Immersed in the media, millions see a quick statue put stones on strings. Federer defied the punters by winning his 17th slam and tying Pete Sampras’ record of seven Wimbledon champions. Ironically, the ‘Federer Express’ makes Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray look like rising stars who are dwarfed by Roger’s shooting star.

What could be said to motivate the greatest tennis player of all time to continue fighting for slams and maintaining the position of number one tennis player? Why do so many lose the drive for dominance, while a wife watches her husband and her twins see her father on the right side of the wrong odds? Perhaps the skills of Federer and Archimedes like Penn’s innovations of angles, physics, tennis tactics and precision bring a sense of destiny; as communicated by his own talent to finish the true story. Although, what does Federer’s success mean for the rest of us?

Maybe celebrities are popular because we imagine that their achievements are our own. Suddenly, a realization after months, sometimes years, happens for many of us. So much time sitting on the sofa with a thin screen TV and without enough passion and effort to fulfill one’s dreams. There has to be a stage where you look at your life and take inventory of it. Then imagine what you want from life.

If Federer is great by himself, then is he really great? Ordinary or struggling people need to see Roger as an inspiration to achieve personal excellence. Otherwise, Federer is just an elite that dwarfs everyday dreams. Intangible energy with a mood-enhancing emotional nature comes from taking pride in personal excellence. Happiness is for everyone; as long as life allows. Make sure that looking back on his life reflects your own firsthand experiences, rather than someone else’s. Sometimes people measure their lives by the ones they will never have.

Push yourself to achieve your goals, and know that there are millions of people just like me who support you and appreciate your personal best achievements. The true excellence, in my opinion, of Roger Federer is in inspiring people to achieve the best of themselves. Keep striving to achieve what you can as a goal in itself. Federer should be a bridge to your own achievements; he lets his dreams be his and own yours. Stay positive and above all stay strong.
