Who doesn’t want to be in top shape? I bet you do. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as you’d hope it would be. The good news is that it’s not that difficult either. All you need is a little desire, a little commitment, and faith in yourself. This article is for both those who have been following a diet and exercise plan and those who are looking for one. If you are one of the first, you may notice that after following any diet and exercise plan, its effects begin to disappear from 5 or 6 months onwards. This is where most people also start to lose their hope and give up on their goal altogether.

It should be noted that the human body is extremely complex and intelligent, adapting to changes quite quickly. However, if you’re working toward your weight loss goal, you’ll want your body to keep changing (ie, keep losing weight) until you reach your goal. This means that every X amount of time, you have to change your diet and exercise plan to trick your body into continuing to lose weight.

This article is not about a secret formula or a one-size-fits-all scheme that promises you the weight loss you want. This article tries to give you clarity on how weight loss works and how your body responds over a period of time. Regardless of the health plan you’re following and as long as you’re happy with it, all you need to do is skew it slightly with alternatives and substitutes. For example, if you’re going to eat a certain amount of protein and fat, don’t rely solely on meat. Spread your weakness on meats, fish and shellfish, eggs and plant-based proteins. Similarly, if you only cook in olive and coconut oil, try butter and avocado oil from time to time.

If you’re used to having scrambled eggs for breakfast, try combining it with chopped tomatoes and chopped yellow bell pepper. Some alternatives include whole-grain bread with unsalted peanut butter, cranberry bran flakes, and apple-almond pancakes. All of these are good substitutes for breakfast if you’re on a weight loss mission with a busy schedule.

What this will do is provide variety to your body and digestive system, therefore preventing you from adjusting and settling on one type of food all the time, allowing you to achieve your goal and do it quickly.
