Yogurt has many health benefits and you really should start enjoying it every day to fully appreciate its nutritional value. For a food that is relatively easy to prepare, it plays a vital role in maintaining your health.

Greek yogurt is another healthy food that can be used in place of cream. So it has all the added benefits of yogurt itself and also the smooth and creamy texture of cream, but without the high fat content.

Greek yogurt is very creamy and quite thick compared to other yogurts. It has a texture similar to sour cream but it is not as bitter. However, it has a higher fat content compared to other types of standard yogurt.

Traditional Greek yogurt is made from sheep’s milk, but you’ll find that in the US it’s mostly made from cow’s milk.

Recently, Greek yogurt has become quite popular and is being used more and more in desserts and other recipes that typically contain cream or cream cheese because, although it is higher in fat than standard yogurt, it is much lower in fat and calories compared to the cream.
