The Las Vegas Strip, also known as “The Strip”, is approximately 6.5 km in length from Las Vegas Boulevard South in Paradise and Winchester, Nevada. “The Strip” is south of the city limits.

Many of the city’s best-known hotels, casinos, and resorts are located on The Strip. One of the most visible and memorable aspects of the urban landscape and culture, if not the most visible, is the use of dramatic themes. Due to the hotels, casinos, and restaurants on “The Strip” using these heavy themes, Las Vegas has established itself as a popular vacation destination for tourists.

Las Vegas Boulevard is filled with glitz and glamor of unmatched proportions. It is very easy to say that “The Strip” is exaggerated. “The Strip” is America’s premier gaming thoroughfare and home to many of the country’s best and most well-known hotels and casinos. No trip to Las Vegas is complete without an evening stroll down the Strip. The culture is evident in the glow of the twinkling lights and the ocean of humanity that makes its way to the winning slots. Evenings are also the most comfortable time of day to be outside. So don’t go to sleep too early, take a walk under the stars and bask in the glow. A couple of attractions I recommend are Mirage for its signature volcano and Treasure Island for the pirate battle. The best section of “The Strip” is between Sahara and Tropicana Avenue.

Make sure you have your walking shoes and be prepared to walk all day and maybe even all night. There is so much shopping to do and so many wonderful sites to see on your next trip to Las Vegas, so be sure to bring a camera because you will need one.
