I would definitely love to choose to dress as a Rocky Horror Picture Show character. My choice would have to be to dress as Tim Curry as Frank N Furter. This was my favorite and probably the best known character in the movie. He was best known for his slutty transvestite outfit and would therefore be my choice for an unusual, shocking and very creative costume.

Wearing a Sweet Travesti Frank N Furter costume would force me to forego all modesty and come out half-naked, but I think it would be worth it. I would probably put the costume together myself out of different clothes, but I wouldn’t buy a pre-made version because then I wouldn’t be able to show my creativity and it would probably cost a lot more than going to a thrift store and buying the parts myself.

First I would go to a costume store and buy a cheap wig that resembled Frank N Furter’s hair. If my memory serves me correctly, it was a bit curly and black. When I say costume shop, I really mean one of those cheap seasonal Halloween stores that pop up in late September and early October, but I’m sure you could find it online as well.

So while I was at the Halloween store, I’d get a cheap tube of white cream for my face, or, since I don’t normally wear hooker red lipstick, I could buy a cheap costume makeup pack. The kind of package that has white face paint and red lip paint all together.

While at the Halloween store, I would buy a pair of tacky fishnet pantyhose for $1.00. He would probably save money doing it this way. Next, I’d head to the local thrift store and look in the lingerie section and try to find some kind of bustier that I could cut in the front and tie up. The last time I was at the thrift store, believe it or not, they actually had tons of bustiers with the garter accessories I would need for the costume.

Good Will is where I usually find what I need for most of my Halloween outfits. I guess a Frank N Furter costume will be no different. So I’d grab a black bustier with garters. Then he would find some elbow-length gloves and cut off the fingers. These gloves would be black. Then I would search for the tackiest pair of platform high heels I could find and a pair of black spandex biker shorts. I would cut shorts to look like panties.

Then I would have to buy spray glitter and go crazy with it all over the outfit. Then he would put my wig on me, paint my face white with red lips, and dress me in the shiny bodice, gloves, and garters into my fishnet stockings. Then she could even throw on a full-length vampire-like cape for full effect.

That’s why Halloween is my favorite holiday, because you can be creative and dress up however you want to surprise your friends. And when I think of impact, I don’t know about you, but who else comes to mind but Frank N Furter? Tim Curry dressed as a woman? A sweet transvestite costume? Now we are talking. And if you want to act out your best Rocky Horror fantasy, then you couldn’t do better than wearing an authentic Frank N Furter costume for Halloween.
