In the far north of Northern Ireland lies Portrush – Co. Antrim. Portrush is a seaside resort in County Antrim that is the subject of fond memories among the older Irish. Near Portrush is Dunluce Castle, which was formed when the sea cut through the rock. This is one of the most romantic and picturesque castles in Ireland. However, one tragic night, during a storm, part of the kitchen broke loose and fell into the sea along with all the kitchen staff. The hole is still there, dark and empty. Tours are available, but be sure to book in advance.
