Skoda has really caught people’s imaginations and got them talking, the VRS ads are amazing. From start to finish, TV commercials cleverly portray the beast that is the Skoda vRS. I especially like the final scene where the car threatens to pounce on its creators. The scariest part has to be the hissing of the snakes around the engine.

The announcement has helped to “make man” to the Fabia, Skoda needed to convey the message that the vRS is powerful, sporty and “tough”. This is a big difference compared to the original Fabia ads that featured a quiet family car with the use of pastries, cakes, and relaxing music.

They have said that the 1.9 TDi VRS with 130 BHP promises to be a superior model and will offer its competitors a good run for their money. It comes standard with a paddle-shift gearbox that shifts from one ratio to another with little hesitation.

Along with the vRS, Skoda will launch a limited edition 200 Skoda Fabia VRS2000, which is the car that helped Skoda win the IRC Constructors’ Championship. The vRS2000 special edition model is equipped with a turbocharged and supercharged 180 hp 1.4 TSI engine, providing a 0-100 km / h time in 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 139 mph.

However, it will have to be quick, as only 20 of the 200 limited edition models are destined for the UK. The vRS2000 will be offered in Rallye Green, with a white roof, 17 “white ‘Gigaro’ alloy wheels and race livery, similar to the IRC championship-winning Fabia S2000. The Fabia vRS S2000 will arrive in the UK in January 2011. Prices have not changed, it has been announced yet.
