Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras):

IIT Madras was established in 1959. The college is one of the leading institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research. Admission Test: The entrance exam for IITs is JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Advance. Students who pass the JEE Advance can apply for admission to multiple IITs.

MIT was established in 1949 by Shri.C.Rajam. This university was established in 1987, formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College by Jeppiaar Educational Trust.
