The Law of Polarity says: “Everything has an opposite. A bad situation is equally good. Look for the good and there will be more good things on the way.” I always knew this law exists, but it took me a while to REALLY understand it. I love the Law of Polarity or Law of Opposition! The great news about the Law of Polarity is that it is EQUAL. Do you get it? SAME! As bad as you may feel is going on, there is an equal amount of good! Where is the good? Is there! Trust me! Just start looking for the positive, the positive side, so to speak. Or at least express gratitude for ANYTHING in your life. Do you have a great partner? Good kids? At home? A job? A because? Then you are blessed. You have something to be thankful for.

I have a lot of experience with this law. Some I recognized even before I started learning about these laws. A few years ago, we were going through a real personal struggle in our family. It caused a lot of pain and confusion. Although things seemed dark and difficult, we opted to think on a different level. It was not easy. We tried to be happy and positive even though inside we were dying. We try very hard to find the good. Fortunately, it finally started to arrive. We knew there was an answer to these problems, we just needed to find it. When we saw the movie, “The Secret”, I heard the words, “no matter what problems you have in your life, everything can be changed with ONE THOUGHT”. This was the answer I was looking for. Finding these “laws” was the answer to many prayers. Albert Einstein said: “The important problems that we face in life cannot be solved with the same level of thought that we were at when we created them.” The knowledge we’ve gained through these “laws” helped us get through tough times, gave us hope, and brought us to a new level of thinking. We have overcome our struggles and have learned a lot from them. The good thing we found in those dark times was that “we came to know God through our adversity.” (Francis Webster, “Angels and Handcarts”) I can truly say now that our lives have been blessed through our trials.

Another wonderful thing that the Law of Polarity has helped me with is peace in a difficult world. They have always taught me that the “Last Days” would be difficult times on earth. One only needs to watch the news to feel the sadness and despair from the evil that is happening. I have wondered how I will survive or how I will help my children survive in such tumultuous times. I have prayed for peace and knowledge. I have read the scriptures and followed the advice of our church leaders to store food and be physically prepared. That has brought me a lot of peace. One day as I was thinking about this law, I realized that because of the Law of Polarity, despite all the evil and evil in the world, there had to be an EQUAL amount of good – good people, good things happening. I just needed to focus on that. I am already surrounded by good people and I know there are many more out there. All over the world there are good people who are trying to live a good life and also to teach their children well. When I started to focus on that, peace came to my heart. Now I know that we will be fine during these difficult times because God is abundant. He wants to bless us. He has surrounded us with so many good, good people, good books, and the beauties of nature to remind us that all is well and that goodwill will prevail.
