Treasures galore await visitors to Belize. Those who have gone there say that Belize is a paradise for adventurers. It is on the Caribbean coast and only two hours from 3 major US entry points. It has rich wildlife, majestic mountains, mysterious Mayan temples, and diving and fishing experiences.

One of Belize’s many attractions includes the Keys. The cays are islands that lie between the mainland and the barrier reef perimeters of offshore atolls. Mangrove cays serve as a refuge for many birds, fish, shellfish and marine organisms. The island’s cays, on the other hand, have provided the base for the development of many excellent resorts to cater to water sports enthusiasts and marine naturalists.

One of the popular keys includes the famous CAE Caulker, the second most popular after the Ambergris CAE, La Isla Bonita from Madonna’s song. It is located on the Caribbean coast of Belize in Central America. It is considered a magnet for mid-range travelers looking to disconnect from the world.

Belize is also a paradise for lovers of fishing. There you can experience all kinds of fishing. The estuaries, inlets, and mouths of the many rivers are known for their tarpon, snook, and jacks. The lagoons and flats are known for bony fish, permit and barracuda.

The coral reefs are home to groupers, snappers, trevally, and barracuda, while the deeper waters of the slope are home to sailfish, marlin, bonito, and pompano. Belize also has 20 major river systems and smaller creeks that provide outdoor adventures for kayakers and canoeists. It’s also a great way to bird watch and see wildlife.

There are also many caves in Belize. It is an ideal location for cave formation because caves are a common feature in the Belizean landscape. The caves include Che Chem Ha Cave, Rio Frio Cave, St Herman Cave, Barton Creek Cave, Ben Loman Cave, and Actun Tunichi Muknal Cave.

Although there are thousands of caves in Belize for whatever reason, one of which includes protecting the archaeological significance of the caves, many of the caves are closed to public exploration.

Golf courses are also abundant in Belize. Not to mention the Cave Chapel Island Resort Golf Course, it is located off the coast of Belize City in a cave that was developed for the purpose of golfing and relaxation.

The Maskall Lodge Golf Course, located in the Belize District, has a jungle setting with nine holes. As a country whose history traces its roots back to the Mayan civilization, Belize is also known for its place Cayo. It is a 1,500 square mile district that encompasses a good portion of the Maya Mountains and has its fair share of ancient Mayan sites.
